On Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023, ZESS invited representatives from science and industry to the opening ceremony. In addition to numerous keynote speeches, round tables and flashlights, the members of ZESS took the opportunity to provide insight into current and future work.
After the successful implementation of the psychological study together with the Chair of Work, Organizational and Economic Psychology (AOW) of Annette Kluge and the Chair of Cognitive Psychology of Oliver Wolf, Olga Skrebec has now summarized first findings in her article in the AOW newsletter.
Our cooperation with SEEPEX resulted in a joint invention. The invention deals with the flow rate calculation for progressing cavity pumps without dedicated flow meters.
We congratulate Lucas Reineking, Jonas Fischer, Ali Mjalled, Siegmar Wirtz, Viktor Scherer, and Martin Mönnigmann on their accepted article “Convective drying of wood chips: accelerating coupled DEM-CFD with parametrized reduced single particle models” in Particuology.
Together with the Chair of Work, Organizational, and Business Psychology led by Prof. Kluge, the Chair of Automatic Control and Systems Theory is investigating the influence of drones on the cognitive abilities and stress perception of knowledge workers.
In February, researchers from the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava (STU) visited the RUB for one week as part of the EU project FrontSeat. The guests were welcomed by the Chair of Automatic Control and Systems Theory (RUB) and by the Chair of Digital Engineering (RUB).
