Open labs at research building ZESS

ZESS opening ceremony for science and industry

On Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023, ZESS invited representatives from science and industry to the opening ceremony. In addition to numerous keynote speeches, round tables and flashlights, the members of ZESS took the opportunity to provide insight into current and future work.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Mönnigmann, Raphael Dyrska, Jens Müller, and David Müller from the Chair of Automatic Control and Systems Theory presented their current research and collaborations within the ZESS consortium and beyond at the „Round Table Smart Pump“ as well as at several booths and two flight shows.

The following exhibitions were on display:

Intelligent Production (in collaboration with the Chair of Production Systems).

  • Combination of flight and ground robotics
  • Drone flights in the Smart Systems lab

Functional safety

  • Safe algorithms for flight robotics
  • Flight show in the flight lab
